chez marc and paula's house

Obviously we have done a huge amount of chucking out and clearing stuff that we have managed to accumulate in both our lifetimes. Because we have had our french house for five years there are a lot of doubles up in the kitchen and elsewhere, that we have disbanded to either friends or charity shops. I am still amazed that our garage in France has managed to swallow up the house in East Dulwich.
We look at our house as three stages, mind body and soul. The soul area encompasses everything from our past as well as the new and is the ground stage of our house. This is our entertainment and games area for watching old films, table tennis tournaments and scooters and bikes.

This is the main body of the house, where we eat, sleep and play, and our garden where we do much the same. At the top of the house we have the mind, books, music and cerebral entertainment ...well almost. This is where i will write my blog, with a view of the mountains and from the skylights our beautiful and unusual double church tower.

hare today gone tomorrow

Here we are in our pristine show house tip toe in our bare feet on the new carpets and mind the paintwork. Our life, well most of it has now been packed into numerous cardboard boxes, and off to France...except for Harold the hare. The grapevine the other end is already working overtime and we have been spotted (not in person) delivering another load, nothing goes unnoticed in our little village.
Everyone,  knows  what is going on and where, the village is far too small for anonymity.
It has been an interesting 6 months, not sure that i want to repeat it to soon, i have to keep telling myself about the reward at the other end. I am busy devising an ad for the east dulwich forum, just need to rent the house now?!
